Known for its strong Black middle class, rich history, and thriving arts and music scenes, PGC was once a beacon of progress and opportunity. However, in recent years, economic shifts, gentrification, and rising crime rates have placed strain on the very communities that once flourished here.
At R2V2Q, we believe that revitalization starts from within—with the people, the artists, the storytellers, and the dreamers who refuse to let their home be defined by decline. Our mission is to rebuild Prince George’s County’s legacy through creative expression, outreach, and collaboration.

Community revitalization is not just about infrastructure or policy changes—it is about changing the narrative. The stories we tell about our neighborhoods shape how we see ourselves and our future. Through photography, poetry, film, and visual arts, R2V2Q is launching a movement to reclaim PGC’s beauty, resilience, and history.
With our Quarterly Contests, including our latest Artful Healing & Recovery Competition, we are encouraging residents to capture the heart of their neighborhoods—from local businesses and cultural landmarks to the everyday heroes working to uplift their communities.
Bringing Back Safe Streets and Vibrant Neighborhoods
Prince George’s County was once a place where families thrived, children played freely, and businesses flourished. Unfortunately, rising crime and economic struggles have eroded the sense of safety and community.
R2V2Q believes that creative action can spark real change. By working with local leaders, artists, educators, and activists, we aim to:
